What is an Ambassador?

The Western Kentucky Biology Ambassadors are undergraduates selected by the department faculty to assist with recruiting events and visits by high school students and other guests to the Department. The Ambassadors are bright, outgoing students who usually are involved in an independent research project or other departmental activities. By example and through presentations, the Ambassadors represent the range of opportunities available to Biology undergraduates.

Who should apply?

Students of junior or senior status who are interested in representing the Biology department and Western Kentucky University.

Where can I get an application?

Application (Application Word Document)

See Ambassador Program. Please turn in completed applications to the Biology Department Office (TCNW 201). Application deadline is usually near the end of September, watch for signs in tha hallway or ask in the Bio office. Review of applicants starts shortly after applications are due.

Why should I be an Ambassador?

Ambassadors are one of the first contacts prospective students have with WKU Biology, and hence serve as a very important representative and pivotal member of the recruitment team. Involvement as an Ambassador will allow you to make an impact on the future of WKU Biology.
