Assignment 9 - DNA Sequence Analysis

In the Biology 450 folder on the ABI#2 sequencer there are two sequences CCU21-SP6 and CCU21-T7. These two files contain the chromatograms for sequencing a recombinant pGEM T-easy plasmid with primers that bind tothe SP6 and T7 sequences respectively.

Import these files into 4Peaks and edit them such that the pGEM sequences of the vector are removed. Look at the sequence of the insert and edit ambiguities the best that you can. When you finish editing, submit your sequence to BLAST and determine how well it matches. Look at mismatches and determine if you can reasonably edit your sequence further. When you have finished mail me the edited sequence only, not the chromatograms.
