GRADING: Grading is based primarily on written and oral communication of experimental results in the lab. These are skills that are extremely important for scientists and professionals.
- Scientific Writing : 2 formal scientific papers based on group data collected in the lab; first and final drafts, peer review; 40 %.
- NOTE: Although students will work in groups, written reports are to be composed by individual students. Significant duplication of text will be considered plagarism.
- Oral Presentation: A data presentation of an experiment conducted in lab as well as a 15 minute presentation on a topic of your choice; 30%.
- Quizzes (4); 20%.
- Data Submission; 10%.
