SPECIAL ASSIGNMENTS: Students are expected to participate in class discussion; attend each presentation given by professor and visiting technologists, and prepare a notebook covering all aspects of the course and facilities visited; and to take a final examination.

COURSE OBJECTIVE: To introduce students to the profession of clinical laboratory science, also known as medical technology. Attention will also be given to other professionals who work as a team to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of disease.
